Hello! I'm Amalin. I've been active in fandoms and fic-writing for about a decade now. I started on fanfic.net (does anyone even remember this site?) in the Animorphs fandom, then moved to fanfiction.net and eventually into Harry Potter. Since 2002, I have inhabited the livejournals amalin and monochromal, as well as a couple others. I'm sorry to say that I've deleted the latter, but if you visit the former, amalin, you'll find most of the fics I link here. By no means is that every fic I have written; I've filtered out plenty. They won't be posted there or here, though if you check out the links under Notes, they might be there.

I'm not actively "in" HP fandom any longer, though I don't think I could ever really leave. I don't know if I'll write more or not, but I love HP fandom and the people I've met and the things I have read, and won't forget that. As I said on lj, I'll keep the stories in my heart, always will.

To clarify my Recs section, I have to say that I have read a lot of fic. I have loved a lot of it, and even if it's not on this list, that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it, or that it didn't touch me. It would take me forever to re-find and list all the fics I have loved, so this list is especially for the fics I keep coming back to, the ones I never want to lose.
